Last day of a very successful trip! Before leaving Logan, we explored the city and the campus of Utah State. Looks like a thriving place! We also came across the LDS Tabernacle and Family History Library as well as the LDS Temple. Impressive buildings, for sure!
It was a hot drive, temperature hitting 101 at one point. Lunch was left over pizza heated on the dashboard. (Try it, it works!) Its too bad you always have to end a trip from this part of the world with that horrible, boring drive on I-84! Home by 4:00. All is well and Max waiting!
It was a great trip. About 1400 miles. Highlights would be Beartooth Pass, Cody and the Tetons. (we've visited Yellowstone so many times at this point that its hardly a "highlight").
The effect of the Covid-19 virus is everywhere, to varying degrees, depending on what state you're in. Yellowstone and Tetons are partly shut down. Biggest thing missing are the restaurants. Limits to how many people can be in the stores. Motels are different. No more breakfast buffets. The Comfort Inn in Logan was the strictest. No 24/7 coffee; minimal breakfast by special order only, reservations for the pool. Masks required in most places, compliance was pretty good. Plexiglass shields and partitions everywhere!
